West Bengal Governor lashes out at CM Mamata Banerjee for accusing PM Modi

Kolkata: As Bengal is approaching the day of assembly elections, a round of counter-allegations have begun in Bengal politics. Earlier, PM Modi accused Mamata Banerjee of being a barrier in the midst of the 'PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana'. Only the farmers of Bengal are not getting the benefit of the schemes being run by the central government. Reacting to this, Banerjee has accused PM Modi of lying on the issue of farmers.

"When we are implementing a number of central government schemes in the state, we are implementing it in the state. It is absurd not to implement the scheme of farmers' interest in Bengal. Our farmer brothers and sisters are agitating on the streets against agricultural laws. Instead of listening to their problems, the PM is confusing people through half-hearted facts and lies. The BJP government at the Centre is not cooperating with the states but is busy propagating for petty political gains," she said.

The Bengal Governor attacked Mamata Banerjee on the issue, said, "So far, every farmer in India under the PM Kisan Samman Fund has received Rs 14,000 per annum so far. 73 lakh farmers in West Bengal have not received this benefit. I have consistently attracted the attention of the CM."
