Trinamool Congress MLA Saokat Molla recently accused some people of hatching a conspiracy to kill him. In fact, Molla has written a letter to the Jibantala police demanding protection for him. In a recent letter, he wrote, 'He can be killed anytime.' On the other hand, the police have arrested three persons for allegedly plotting to kill MLA Saokat Molla. However, even after this, he is being threatened with death. Due to this, the MLA has lodged a complaint with the police of Jibantala police station for security that he can be killed anytime. Saokat Molla and Kunal Ghosh have recently been given the post of coordinator of the Trinamool South 24 Parganas district.
Let me tell you all that the police had arrested three people for conspiring to kill the MLA. Ashraf Mulla, Mojafar Sardar and Asmat Sheikh were reportedly arrested by the police and he included Ashraf Mulla Canning, the election agent of the former ISF candidate in the assembly.
On the other hand, the MLA has accused all these accused of being involved in several murders. Amidst all this, Saokat's supporters staged a protest at Jibantala Bazar this morning, demanding the strictest possible punishment for those involved in the conspiracy to kill the MLA. Sadiq Laskar, the youth president of Canning 2 block, said 'The notorious miscreants of the area had planned to attack the MLA in a car with a police sticker.' At the same time, the Jimbtala police say that 'they have not received any complaint from the MLA.'
