West Bengal: Two smugglers injured in encounter on Bangladesh border

Kolkata: There has been an encounter between BSF jawans and smugglers near the Indo-Bangladesh border in Malda, West Bengal. Two smugglers were reportedly injured during the encounter, while an official statement from BSF only said that two shots were fired by them to rescue a Army personnels. But they didn't hurt anyone.

According to BSF, at midnight on June 24, 2021, 20 smugglers from Shobhapur village tried to cross fencedil bottles by hiding in a field of reeds (a type of high grass). More than 20 smugglers also stood across the border. In fact, by the way, phensedyl is a cough medicine. But wherever alcohol is banned, it is used as an intoxicating thing.

Smugglers from India were on the lookout for smugglers at the earliest. All the smugglers were armed with sticks, poles, iron rods, high beam flashlights, sharp weapons, etc. But the jawans on the border foiled the smugglers' designs. In this operation, a jawan was stabbed with sticks by smugglers. Which caused the young man to fall down. It was then that another smuggler tried to attack the army personnels with a sharp weapon. The BSF personnel then opened fire.
