New Delhi: Former Delhi Jail Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Satyendar Jain, imprisoned in Tihar Jail for the last one year in a money laundering case, was taken to Safdarjung Hospital on Monday (May 22). Doctors at Safdarjung Hospital today examined Satyendar Jain for a spinal problem. According to media reports, a spokesperson of Safdarjung Hospital has informed that Jain went to the neurosurgery OPD in the morning and the doctors there examined him after which he left. Police was also present with them. At present, it is not known what disease Satyendar Jain is suffering from. A senior jail official has told that Satyendar Jain, imprisoned in Delhi's Tihar Jail since his arrest in a money laundering case last year, was taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital on Saturday. Since Satyendra Jain wanted consultation from other doctors as well, he was taken to Safdarjung Hospital. At the same time, party sources have told that Satyendra Jain was feeling 'unwell', so he was taken to Safdarjung Hospital. Let us inform that, recently Satyendar Jain's lawyer and Congress Rajya Sabha MP Abhishek Manu Singhvi had told the Supreme Court that his health is very bad. They have become skeletons. Jain's weight has reduced by about 35 kg in Tihar Jail. Satyendra Jain has been in jail since May 31 last year. His bail plea was rejected by the Delhi High Court on 6 April. After this he approached the Supreme Court. To avoid ED's questions, Jain has said that he has lost his memory and does not remember anything. This is also a reason why they are not getting bail. Court says that, they can go out and influence the evidence and witnesses. Media reports have quoted an official as saying that Satyendar Jain had a spinal problem, due to which he was taken to Safdarjung Hospital. Last week, in the Supreme Court, Jain's lawyer Abhishek Singhvi told the court that the former minister was also suffering from several ailments.
