What you should know about clean eating!!!

You must have probably heard about clean eating, but do you really know what exactly it is? So what is eating clean, anyway? Eat more of the good. Eat less of the bad. This is the actual meaning of clean eating.

Clean eating is all about eating healthy foods, cleaning up your diet and staying away from processed or refined foods. It is not a diet; it is a lifestyle approach to food and its preparation, leading to an improved life.

Here are some tips to keep in mind for clean eating:

-Eat six small meals a day; three big meals and three light meals. Include proteins, fresh fruits, vegetables and minerals with each meal. This will keep you full and energized all day long.

-Cut down on added sugars. Foods with added sugars are of no use to non-athletes as these just add up to the calories with no nutritional value.

-Try eating more of veg food rather than non-veg. Find different ways to incorporate veggies in various ways to make your meals healthier. There are so many tasty veg recipes. Do check and try them out.

-Drink at least 2 – 3 liters of water daily. This flushes out the toxins from your body and keeps you hydrated.

-Who said fats are bad. There are good fats too which are essential fatty acids which need to be incorporated in your clean diet daily

-Try eating home food rather than at a restaurant. Eating at home is the best way to start out on a clean eating plan. When eating out look for restaurants which offer some healthy foods.
