WhatsApp Sues Israeli Firm NSO Group Over Cyber-Espionage

WhatsApp mobile has filed a lawsuit in federal court against the spy agency NSO Group. This agency is from Israel and WhatsApp has alleged that this agency has wrongly hacked the target phone. The lawsuit was filed in federal court in California.

Sources believe that sometimes there has been a flaw related to WhatsApp calling. And the company has said that it is the actions of the NSO Group, which has taken advantage of this to target the smartphone. Actually, under this hacking method, hackers are loading spyware into the target smartphone through video calling.

Citizen Lab, the agency that discovered this deficiency, has said that such spyware attacks are targeting journalists and human rights activists. The Akat was named Pegasus and was created by the Israeli agency NSO Group. It is being told that the government of many countries around the world uses it.

According to the information, the NSO Group has said that the company was not involved in this direct and it is working to make the bus available to the government. According to The Washington Post, WhatsApp head Will Cathcart has said that under US state and federal law, the company wants the NSO Group to be responsible for this spyware attack. The NSO Group has said in a statement that the company does not consider this allegation to be justified and it will be debated.

According to the report, this company prepares for such software agencies, including government agencies. The report says that earlier this year, the company prepared a paper for Uganda that mentions Pegasus.
