WhatsApp clarifies: New terms and policy provides transparency on how it collects and uses data

After the new terms and policy update, people are now searching for the alternate for it. People are not happy with the updated policy of the famous messaging app. WhatsApp users have been concerned about the privacy of their messages, calls and data. The new policy update will be effective from February 8 globally. Recently, WhatsApp has issued an official statement to clarify on this and shared detailed information on how the company protects its user's messages. 

The famous messaging app,  Whatsapp stated, "We want to clear that the policy update does not affect the privacy of user's messages with their friends or family in any way. Instead, this update includes changes related to messaging a business on WhatsApp, which is optional and provides further transparency about how we collect and use data."

 

In the official statement, WhatsApp clarifies- 1. WhatsApp can't see your private messages and neither can Facebook  2. Your logs of messages and calls are not saved  3. Your shared location is protected too  4. Your contacts are not shared with Facebook  5. Groups will remain private
