Brian Acton, who is a co-founder of WhatsApp accompanied with Jan Koum in 2009, announced in a Facebook post today that he is leaving the company. He also said about his future plans that soon he is going to start a new chapter in his life and will start a non-profit ahead. On the decision of leaving the company, he wrote in his post that, "He feels lucky that in his age he have the courage and flexibility to take new decisions and risks in life, he is all now concentrating on setting up a non-profit and now is the time to execute and focus his decision he made". WhatsApp was taken by Facebook in the year 2014, for $19 billion — $4 billion in cash, $12 billion in stock, plus $3 billion in RSUs (Restricted stock units are not fully transferable until certain conditions have been met).According to the records, Acton is currently estimated with a net worth $6.5 billion.
