In fact, an ATM machine of the State Bank of India (SBI) in Pamedi village in Anantapuram district of Andhra Pradesh caught fire on Saturday and turned it into ashes. Assistant District Fire Officer of Anantapuram Fire Station, Avartha said that he got information about the fire at Pemadi SBI ATM at 2.31 pm. He said, "The fire brigade reached the spot and started a fire operation at 3.14 am. The fire was completely extinguished for 15 minutes." However, the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Bank officials have estimated a loss of Rs 44 lakh 59 thousand including the value of cash and property in the ATM. The officer said that the fire was completely extinguished and there were no reports of any injuries in the accident.
