Mathura: Four youth arrested for chanting Hanuman Chalisa at Idgah

Mathura: Four youths started reciting Hanuman Chalisa on Tuesday at the Idgah of UPA's Govardhan. When the text of Hanuman Chalisa went viral, the police became active. Police arrested 4 youths. Govardhan residents Saurabh Lambardar, Raghav Mittal, Kanha and Krishna Thakur went to Idgah to recite Hanuman Chalisa and its video was shared. After the police went viral, the four youths were arrested at around 1 am from Govardhan town. However, no Tahrir has been given in this case from any other side.

Action was taken against the four youths for breach of peace: Senior Superintendent of Police (SP) Dr Gaurav Grover said that if any person will act to spoil the atmosphere and spread chaos, then strict action will be taken against them. Action has been taken against the four youths for breach of peace. The SSP has demanded the citizens to maintain a peaceful atmosphere. If someone spoils the environment, strict action will be taken against him.

According to the information received, the detention number said, "We have given a message of communal harmony by reciting Hanuman Chalisa in Idgah. When Muslims can offer namaz in Nanda Bhavan, we can also recite Hanuman Chalisa in Idgah."
