Vidya Balan has made her strong place in Bollywood. She stands on her own. Vidya recently during a press meet of Begum Jaan shared her experience when her ego got hurt. Vidya stated: "Yes! Of course, I still remember during my early days in the film industry I had gone to attend a funeral of someone from Bollywood. Since I was one actor who reached very much early, the photographers started flashing their camera on me. They also spoke to me. Soon enough, Aamir Khan entered and these photographers pushed me aside and started clicking Aamir. My ego was hurt." The actress added: "However, when I reached home and shared this incident with my family members, I was a changed person. I then contemplated over certain norms and ways of being a star. I realized that Aamir has done a lot many good films and he is held in much higher esteem than I am. He is a well known star. The moment I realised this, I was perfectly normal." Vidya admitted of being hurt, "I am a changed person now. If I am hurt by anything-then it may be a question asked by anyone from the media or for that matter hearing some comment on my fashion statement or some other stuff. I just go ahead and discuss it out with Siddharth and my family members. Until I have spilled out every bit of a not so good experience that I may have tasted, I am not content. So what I have learned is –never feel depressed or hurt take it as it comes within the stride of your life. This will keep you always happy and smiling."
