WHO readies coronavirus app for checking symptoms, possibly contact tracing

Amid the lockdown and corona infection, the World Health Organization is planning to launch an app soon that will allow people to find out if they are corona infected. Along with this, WHO is also considering a Bluetooth based contract tracing feature. Let me tell you that Britain and Australia have also prepared the app, which has been successfully working there, just like India's Health Setu app.

According to WHO Chief Information Officer Bernardo Mariano regarding the app launch, people will be asked about their symptoms in this app, which is being made keeping in mind poor countries. After this, the app will give them information whether they are infected with corona or not. How can the test be done, other such information will be available on the basis of the country.

In his statement, Mariano further said that the version of this app will be released on all app stores, but any country will be able to take the technology of the app, and add features to it. The WHO hopes that its app will be important for the countries of South America and Africa, because not only is the number of infected patients increasing here, but these countries do not have enough resources to develop the app.
