Lucknow: The Allahabad High Court, hearing a case on Thursday, had appealed to PM Modi and the Election Commission to postpone the assembly elections. The high court's remarks have made headlines amid the growing threat of corona's new Omicron variant. Meanwhile, it is reported that the Election Commission is scheduled to meet the Health Secretary on December 27. After the meeting, the Commission is likely to decide on the timing of the conduct of elections. There is speculation that the elections may be postponed for some time. The question arises as to who can benefit if elections are postponed. Apart from the inauguration of Purvanchal Expressway, the dedication of Ganga Expressway and Delhi-Meerut Expressway, manure factory has been started at Gorakhpur. Not only that, many other events have been prepared by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The BJP is trying to create air in the state through development fairies. If the elections are postponed for some time, then it will have the opportunity to work on some more schemes and lay the foundation stone for them, which may be important for spreading messages in different areas of the state. In a similar announcement, Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that a new expressway will be constructed from Ghaziabad to Lucknow which will pass through Kanpur. In addition, the pending BJP may also accelerate teacher recruitment, accountant recruitment, and police constable recruitment, which could benefit it in the elections.
