Why is Republic Day celebrated - India actually achieved independence from British rule on August 15, 1947 after a long struggle. At the same time, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru gave his famous speech 'Destiny with Destiny', declaring India's independence to the citizens. But the sad thing is that the people of India did not have the right to choose their government, the reason behind this was that there was no constitution in India at that time but finally the Indian Constitution came into force on 26 January 1950 after two and a half years, thus This made India one of the largest democracies in the world. It is said that it was the day when India was declared as a sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic republic and to honor this day, every year on 26 January, the Republic Day of the country was celebrated with great fanfare. Let's celebrate.

Know History - Realizing the need for an official constitution in India after independence, Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar (Dr Bheem Rao Ambedkar) was appointed as its chairman and a drafting committee was formed for this. At the same time, the only purpose of establishing this committee was to draft the Constitution of India, which would be the supreme law of India. At the same time, the Constitution outlines the broad framework of fundamental political codes, structure, powers, procedures and duties of all government institutions and also the fundamental rights and duties of all citizens of India. During this period, the committee tried for several months and submitted the first draft of the constitution to the Constituent Assembly on November 4, 1947. After that with 2 years, 11 months and 18 days of hard work finally came to an end with necessary amendments in the constitution.
