New Delhi: So far 14 persons have been arrested in the Delhi Jahangirpuri violence incident who belong to the same religion. After the arrest of criminals of the same religion, questions have been raised on this action of the police. When asked in this regard, the Special CP of Delhi Police has replied. Delhi Police Special CP Deependra Pathak has said that some footage of swords and guns being waved in the procession has been received and further action will be taken after the investigation. "We have received some CCTV footage and videos in this connection.''

When the Special CP was asked that 14 persons have been arrested so far in the case who are from only one religion, why is this so? In response, Dipendra Pathak said that this is a very preliminary stage and more action will be taken after that. The investigation is going on.

Deependra Pathak said that discussions are being held with the Aman Committee to maintain a peaceful and cordial atmosphere in the region. Guidelines have also been issued to some members of the Aman Committee to maintain peace in all situations. He said all the culprits named in the FIR lodged in the violence case have been arrested. On the other hand, The Delhi Police claims that Ansar, the main conspirator in the Jahangirpuri violence case, already has cases registered against him. According to Delhi Police, Ansar has two cases of assault and several gambling cases registered against him. Ansar, 35, is a resident of Jahangirpuri B block. He was also repeatedly arrested under other sections, including two cases of assault against him. He was also booked five times under the Gambling and Arms Act. Police said further investigations are on.
