BB Sara beats police in Women's FIDE Grand Prix Chess

After six rounds in the third tournament of the FIDE Women's Grand Prix series, BB sara Assubaeva of Kazakhstan and Xu Jiner of China are in a joint lead by scoring 4 points, though BB sara has come in first on the basis of a tiebreak. BB sara defeated Polina Shuvalova of Russia in the sixth round to register her fourth win in the tournament.

Reports say that BB sara had earlier defeated India's Harika Dronavalli, R Vaishali, and Georgia's Nina Batsishvili, while she had to face defeat against Russia's Alexandra Goryachkina. China's Xu Jiner played out a draw with Georgia's Nana Dagnidze, while India's Koneru Humpy got a point due to the withdrawal of Germany's Elisabeth Pehetz and is now joint third with Goryachkina and Polina on 3.5 points.

The tournament is to be played on a round-robin basis among 10 players. The importance of the FIDE Grand Prix is high because it is part of the FIDE World Chess Championship cycle.
