Will not allow communal forces to win: Assam BJP vice president Jayanta Malla Baruah

Assam BJP vice president, Jayanta Malla Baruah on Thursday said that he will not allow communal forces to win.

The BJP vice president Baruah along with Assam BJP spokesperson Ram Krishna Ghosh and former Union railway minister Rajen Gohain was in Hojai to attend an executive meeting of the BJP. Baruah said that The communal forces cannot fulfil their dream of turning the state and the Northeast into an Islamic region till the party is in power in the state. He said,  “Some communal forces dream of converting Assam and the Northeast into an Islamic country and Badaruddin Ajmal is one of them. This started way back during pre-independence times and during the tenure of Syed Muhammad Saadulla and continues even today."

The vice president of the saffron party in Assam also alleged that the foreign funding provided to radical groups by Islamic countries is a predetermined step towards converting the Northeast into an Islamic region.
