Fatehabad (Haryana): On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a jibe at Robert Vadra, stating that he was close to being put behind bars. Addressing a public rally in Haryana’s Fatehabad, PM Modi did not name Vadra but directed his remarks at him, saying he once used to consider himself as shahenshah but was not nervous. also read: “Duryodhan Nhi Jallad Hai Vo,” says Rabri Devi on PM Narendra Modi “This chowkidar has taken the person, who looted farmers, to court. He is making the rounds of ED and courts to take bail. He used to think he is shahenshah, but now is nervous. I've already taken him to the jail door. Give blessings and I'll put him in jail within the next 5 years,” the PM said. Robert Vadra has been facing charges of being involved in corruption-marred land deals in Haryana's Gurugram. The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) government in Haryana of CM Manohar Lal Khattar had ordered an inquiry into the Vadra land deals but the probe report of the same has yet to be made public. Vadra has also been facing money laundering charges. He has already been questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the case. The ED case concerns money laundering allegations in connection with the purchase of a London-based property at 12, Bryanston Square, worth GBP 1.9 million.
