The Maharashtra Regional Transport Office (RTO) has started work on registration of vehicles and making driving licenses. A circular has been issued from the Transport Commissioner's Office on 16 June 2020 asking for the resumption of driving license, secondary licensing, vehicle registration and transfer services in the 50 offices of the state and includes a driving license. These divisions were temporarily closed due to nationwide lockdown and now work is being started again after three months. The company is adopting social distancing protocols in these offices to prevent infection of coronavirus. Under the new protocol, people will have to make an appointment with the RTO office. For which they will have to go to the RTO website. Every day there will be an entry of total people. It has been further stated in the circular that according to the number of officers and employees available in the office, the quota should be set for each work. For those who are coming for RTO centre learner license, it is mandatory to keep 6 feet distance and sanitize after using the computer and keyboard every time. All the applicants will come wearing face masks and hand gloves and it is also necessary to provide sanitizers in these offices. Candidate for permanent license applications will go inside the vehicle only when it is sanitized. Preference will be given to those candidates who applied for the learning license before the lockdown.
