World biggest tunnel is under construction in Manali to leh highway, these will be features

New Delhi: The construction of the world's longest and state-of-the-art 'Atal Tunnel', which is being built at an altitude of 10,000 feet in Manali, is nearing completion, which is being monitored by the country as well as the whole world. This tunnel is going to give way to life for more than 36,000 Qawwali population who are in captivity for 5 to 6 months per year in Lahaul Spiti, Himachal Pradesh.

The central government is considering the construction of the tunnel at Baralacha Pass, Shinkula, Tanglangla on the Manali-Leh road. The construction of the proposed tunnel will help in the construction of this proposed tunnel. Border Road Organization (BRO) has been constructing the Atal Tunnel, built just below Manali, 15,000 feet high near Manali in Himachal Pradesh. Engineers of BRO have been working for the last 10 years to complete the construction work of this tunnel at a temperature of minus 23 degrees Celsius.

After getting both ends of the tunnel in 2017, the tunnel has saved around 7,000 people stranded so far. On 25 December, PM Narendra Modi announced the name of Rohtang Tunnel to be changed to Atal Tunnel. With this, this tunnel was mentioned in detail in front of the whole country.
