New Delhi: Today is World Environment Day. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will join the programme 'Save the Soil Movement' at Vigyan Bhawan today. During this time, PM Modi will also address the gathering of programmes of the global movement launched by 'Jaggi' Vasudev, popularly known as Sadhguru. The 'Save the Soil Movement' is a global movement to raise awareness about the health of the deteriorating soil and bring about a conscious response to improve it. In fact, this movement was started by spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev in March 2022. He started a 100-day motorcycle journey passing through 27 countries. June 5 is its 75th day. This was originally done by Prime Minister Modi as a mantra to tackle the growing global warming in the high-level ministerial segment at the Climate Change Conference Parties (COP26) in Glasgow in November 2021. And this idea promotes an environment-conscious lifestyle. Not only this, but the launch will also mark the launch of the 'Life Global Call for Papers' to invite ideas and suggestions from academicians, universities and research institutes etc. to influence and persuade individuals, communities and organisations across the world to adopt an environmentally conscious lifestyle.
