The world's first nasal vaccine has been launched in India. The name of the vaccine is iNCOVACC, which has been made by Bharat Biotech. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya launched this vaccine on Thursday. According to the Health Ministry, iNCOVACC will first be nestled in private hospitals. Bharat Biotech's nasal vaccine was granted emergency use authorization by the government on September 6 last year. However, till now this vaccine was not being administered. After the rollout of iNCOVACC, now another vaccine has been added. It has also been listed on the CoWIN portal. Subsequently, the CoWIN website has also come up with Bharat Biotech's Covaxin, Serum Institute's Covishield and Covovax, Russia's Sputnik V, and Biological E Ltd's Corbevax, besides INCOVACC. Let me tell you that this is the world's first nasal vaccine. This vaccine has been made jointly by Bharat Biotech and the Washington University of America. It was previously named BBV154. It is now named iNCOVACC. Most viruses, including corona, go into the body through the mucosa. The mucosa is a sticky substance found in the nose, lungs, and digestive system. The nasal vaccine produces an immune response directly in the mucosa, while the muscular vaccine cannot do so. According to the company, the central or state governments will get this vaccine for Rs 325. Whereas, private hospitals will get this for Rs 800. Apart from this, GST will also be added to it.
