World's largest vaccination campaign in the country, 56 crore people have been vaccinated so far: Kishan Reddy

Tirupati: Addressing the media in his two-day visit to Tirupati and Tirumala on Thursday, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy reiterated that the central government is committed to the development of Andhra Pradesh. For many other schemes the state government could not contribute its 40 per cent share due to which they have failed to start. He stressed that, as a cabinet minister of the Telugu states, he is ready to take the initiative to resolve water disputes and other partition commitments between the two states. There should be no differences between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and both should move forward towards development.

He said that his ministry has been consulting various stakeholders to prepare a comprehensive action plan for tourism development. If the cases of covid are reduced completely, the government will come up with an action plan to be implemented from January 1, 2022. The scheme will be announced in a week. Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked the ministers to go to the people and seek their blessings. As part of this he started his Jan Ashirwad Yatra from Tirupati and took the blessings of Lord Venkateswara as well as the people before going to Vijayawada and Telangana. He said that since Modi took power at the Centre, there was no statutory commission for BCs, which the PM corrected and even provided reservation in educational institutions for OBCs.
