Despite the limited publicity, limited screen and many hurdles including competition from a film like 'Radhe Shyam,' Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri's latest release 'The Kashmir Files' has emerged as a winner at the box office. The movie has also surpassed the collection of Shahid Kapoor's blockbuster movie 'Kabir Singh,' Akshay Kumar's 'Rustom,' Ajay Devgan's 'Shivaay' and Shah Rukh Khan's 'Ra One' by collecting about Rs 43.5 crore in just four days. Meanwhile, actress Yami Gautam and her husband-filmmaker Aditya Dhar have also extended their support to Vivek Agnihotri's latest directorial 'The Kashmir Files,' which clearly depicts the painful story of the massacre of Kashmiri Pandits in 1990. Sharing the review on Twitter, Yami and Aditya have also urged people to watch it. Aditya wrote, "You must have seen many videos of Kashmiri Pandits crying in theatres after watching 'The Kashmir Files.' The feeling is real. It shows how long we had suppressed our pain and tragedy as a community. We had no shoulders to cry about. And there were no ears to hear our plea." Sharing her husband's tweet, Yami has said that after marrying a Kashmiri Pandit (Aditya), I have become more aware of the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley. She said "As the wife of a Kashmiri Pandit, I know and understand closely the atrocities of this peace-loving community. But most of the country is still unaware. It took us 32 years and a movie to know the truth. Please see 'The Kashmir Files' and support them." According to media reports, actors like Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumar are seen in pivotal roles in 'The Kashmir Files.' Yami Gautam, who came out in support of 'The Kashmir Files,' says, "Being married to a Kashmiri Pandit, I know about these atrocities.''
