Meanwhile, there is news that the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is going to bring a stringent law regarding population control. It is being said in the media report that if a person of UP has more than two children, then it is bad news for him. Such people may be prohibited from participating in social welfare schemes or panchayat elections. Health Minister of Yogi Government Jayapratap Singh said that, the population policy will be announced soon. Earlier, population policies of other states are being studied. We will bring the best population policy. Jayapratap Singh also said that, the team of experts is working on the draft. Earlier in the year 2000, the population policy was reviewed. The state government believes that the states of South India have succeeded in controlling the population, while the states of North India are constantly fighting for it. Even Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh have reduced facilities for more children. In these states, who have more than two children, they are not allowed to contest panchayat elections. The Yogi government of UP is also insisting on implementing this policy.
