Lucknow: The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh is engaged in a war against Corona. CM Yogi has directed to ensure that no government or private hospital refuses to admit the infected when the bed is present. It has also asked for such arrangements to send the concerned hospital patient to a private hospital if beds are not available in the Government hospital. As per the order issued by the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister's Office, if the patient is not able to get treatment on a payment basis in private hospitals, the state government will pay his treatment at the lowest rate under the 'Ayushman Bharat Yojana'. CM Yogi clarified that no patient should be harmed due to lack of treatment. If unfortunately, the patient dies, the Government will perform the last rites according to his religion at his own expense. Yogi government has further said that there is no shortage of oxygen in the state. In a virtual interaction with the editors of several newspapers, CM Yogi has assured that there is no shortage of oxygen in any government or private covid hospital in the state. He termed black marketing and hoarding as a problem and called for strict action against it. IIT is working closely with Kanpur, IIT BHU, and IIM Lucknow for live tracking and audit of demand, supply, and distribution of oxygen.
