Kolkata: Special CBI court judge Arpan Chatterjee on Monday granted time till the next date of hearing in connection with the charge sheet filed against Kuntal Ghosh in the recruitment corruption case. But during the hearing on Friday (June 2), the CBI sought a month's time to clarify the charge sheet and Justice Chatterjee reprimanded the CBI for this. Justice Arpan Chatterjee said on Friday that so much time cannot be given. It was to be given today. Finally, after being reprimanded, the judge has said to give 14 more days to the CBI. The CBI had last month filed the first charge sheet in the preliminary recruitment corruption case. The accused was identified as Kuntal Ghosh, a Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader, who was earlier chargesheeted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the case. Kuntal Ghosh was arrested by them. Earlier on May 19, the CBI had filed a charge sheet in the primary recruitment corruption case in the court. The court has sought an explanation from the CBI on the charge sheet.
