Divide and rule..!!This quote is heard by almost everyone. Well there are numbers of hate-mongers who are using this policy; they bent on dividing the peoples just to get their own self goals.
Among all hate-mongers the most dangerous who work to break on the basis of religion dissimilar to political or cultural. Religious zealot who sermonize abhorrence and division hold themselves accountable to their individual Gods.
The name which is rolling in the headlines from few days -“Zakir Naik” is one such religious racist, who is the Islamic parson born in 1965 at Mumbai and famous in conventional groups by his Dubai-based Peace TV channel with 100 million viewers around the world.
This is not the first time Naik’s name hit the news; he always been in the headline for the incorrect reasons likewise brand of Quranic literalism, anti-pluralism and puritan Wahhabism. He has called for homosexuals to be penalized with death , refused to condemn Osama bin Laden because he has never met him,he encourages the propagation of his brand of Islam in all countries, he supports the ban of propagation of other faiths in Islamic nations ,spoken offensively in favour of sexual slavery, supported polygamy and described the causes of rape with all the stereotypes rejected by modern civilization – most prominent among them being victim-blaming: that “revealing Western dresses” make women susceptible to rape.
He is also popular for his knowledge of ‘Quran. But sometimes all you known and what the real logic in rational arguments is completely different. Recently, Naik’s name came out for Bangladesh’s terror attack of Dhaka, as he and his philosophies inspired terrorists for the Dhaka attack.
On the other hand; The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) held a protest seeking the arrest of 'preacher' Zakir Naik.The protest was sparked by the news reports which stated that some of the attackers of Dhaka terror strike was Zakir's followers.
The protestor’s asset placards of 'Ban Peace TV' and 'Arrest Dr Zakir Naik' shouted slogans alongside the priest.
As per the protestor said, "He is definitely involved with the attacks in Dhaka. We should be scared of the influence Zakir Naik has on the Muslim youth in India."
HJS protest said, "They (HJS) are protesting for the country's cause. By raising awareness now, they are protecting us and we should support them."
The Union MoS for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju has said that “Zakir Naik’s speech is a matter of concern for us. Our agencies are working on this.”
Not surprisingly; but the other countries like UK has already banned Zakir’s speech.UK Home Secretary Theresa May said the following on denying Naik entry into the UK “Numerous comments made by Dr. Naik are evidence to me of his unacceptable behavior.”
Naik and others like him are abomination to Indian democracy and modern civilization that is why we need to reprove him. They just take part to raise the issue; they are terrorization to our democracy.
