After Pele, now this famous footballer said goodbye to the world
The football world has suffered another deep shock. Italian footballer Gianluca Vialli has died of cancer at the age of 58, a week after the death of Brazilian legend Pele.
The Italian Football Federation has given this information through a tweet on Friday. With the death of Gianluca, the football world has suffered another major blow within a week.
Cancer became the cause of Gianluca Vialli's death. Gianluca was suffering from pancreatic cancer.
While giving information about this in the year 2018 itself, he had said that the one year long battle with this deadly disease was completed, however, after which he came under its grip in the year 2021 as well.
This time also he tried his best to defeat cancer but he could not win this battle and on 6 January 2023 he said goodbye to the world.
The great Italian footballer Gianluca Vialli had an illustrious career. He played a total of 59 matches for the national team for Italy from 1985 to 1992. He scored only 16 goals in these matches.
While there, he has played for Juventus and Chelsea in his club career. He has also served as the coach of Chelsea. Due to his illness, Gianluca had to leave the post of Head of Delegation last month.
The death of Gianluca has created an atmosphere of mourning in the entire football world. Many stars including Manchester United, Chelsea, Italy Football Association have also paid their tribute on his death.
