"Cristiano Ronaldo not a distraction": Portugal coach Santos says

Just days before Portugal's World Cup opener against Ghana in Qatar, Cristiano Ronaldo parted ways with Manchester United.

Head coach Fernando Santos assured that this wouldn't affect the team.

At the pre-game press conference on Wednesday, Santos said, "This is something that has not even been mentioned."

At no point, not even from him, has this subject come up.

Santos said, the team is prepared and in good shape to face Ghana, who "will bring us a lot of issues,"

"A highly well-organized team is Ghana. That was evident in their matchup with Switzerland.

Santos said that he also had aspirations of winning the World Cup

"We can pursue this objective. We wish to provide immense delight to the Portuguese people."
