Recently, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson openly humiliated fellow actor Geroge Clooney’s tequila brand, Casamigos. The Rock’s tequila brand, Teremana Tequila, reportedly sold a whopping 1 million cases in the last 12 months. The numbers are quite high and put Clooney’s brand to shame.
Actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson‘s tequila brand, Teremana Tequila, has been making big profits for the actor. The Rock recently posted the statistics on his Instagram. He wrote,
Teremana reportedly sold a whopping 1 million cases over the past 12 months. He compared his company’s statistics to Casamigos, a tequila brand founded by George Clooney.
Technically, George Clooney is no longer the owner of Casamigos as the company was sold to Diageo, a beverage company, in 2017 for 1 billion, and around that time, Casamigos only sold 170,000 cases annually when it was sold.
George Clooney founded the Casamigos brand with his friend Rande Gerber and property developer Mike Meldman in 2013. The trio set out on a journey to create a spirit that was smooth and hangover-free. Casamigos only produce tequila from hand-selected Blue Weber Agaves in the Jalisco region making it very special.
The stats don’t lie. It’s easy to estimate that Dwayne Johnson’s tequila brand is worth a lot of money just by its annual sales. Based on the reports, Johnson’s Tequila brand is worth 3.5 billion, in which Johnson reportedly owns a 30 stake.
Dwayne Johnson’s net worth is estimated to be around 800 million and if he sold his stake like George Clooney did, the actor will easily become a billionaire. Apart from this, he earns a lot of money from his movies, brand endorsements, and real estate investments.
