Ja Morant: Reps insist Grizzlies star flashed 'toy gun' as suspension nears
Ja Morant is facing a hefty suspension from the NBA after a video last month showed him flashing a gun while in a friends car.
But while Morants representatives seem resigned to the NBAs probable punishment, they are challenging the assumption that the weapon Morant took out on Instagram Live was real.
On Tuesday, the Breakfast Club radio program revealed information its hosts had allegedly received from Morants camp, which insisted that the gun shown in the now-infamous Instagram video was actually fake
This account of Morants actions disputes what is shown in the video, which was posted to friend Davonte Packs account.
This suspension would mirror the punishment doled out to former Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges, who was suspended for 30 games after his arrest on felony domestic violence charges in June 2022.
