Johnny Depp "berated" the new director of the film for the "unacceptable intrusion"

Johnny Depp has been out of the entertainment industry for some time. He spent a lot of time in courtrooms after being fired from his monumental Pirates of the Caribbean series back in 2018 disputing accusations of abuse and defamation made by his ex-wife, Amber Heard.

He is currently filming Jeanne du Barry under the direction of Mawenn, a French actor. However, there have already been some setbacks.

Depp was last featured on the silver screen in 2020s Minamata, a biopic about photographer W Eugene Smith.

In the upcoming French movie, Depp plays King Louis XV - but a new report from World of Reel says he has been struggling with jumping from Hollywood to France.

Director and actor Maïwenn recently spoke claiming the iconic Chocolat actor lashed out at her after she made an unexpected faux pas.

Johnny is a star, she began. A king... and an American I was told not to let him know that we were waiting for him to shoot a scene,

Depp was apparently furious by this action, and instantly let Maïwenn know she had messed up.

She continued There, he made me understand that I had committed an unacceptable intrusion and asked me how I would have felt if he came knocking on my dressing room door.

Maïwenn went on to explain that things are very different in France compared to Hollywood. I replied that everyone does it all the time. Because thats how a set works in France she said.
