Sergio Aguero said that there’s “50 per cent chance” that Lionel Messi might return to Barcelona, once his contract at PSG expires at the end of this summer.
The 35-year-old has been heavily linked with moves to the MLS and David Beckham’s Inter Miami, as well as joining Cristiano Ronaldo by signing a lucrative deal to play in Saudi Arabia.
Amid all the rumours and link up, Aguero believes that Messi most likely wants to retire at Nou Camp.
“I think Leo Messi should retire at Barca,” Aguero told TyC Sports.
“Barcelona is his home and he should finish his career there. My feeling is that there is a 50 per cent chance that he will return.”
Aguero’s prediction isn’t the first time Messi’s close pal has spoken about his friend’s next destination.
Last month, Aguero claimed that Messi was interested in going back home to sign for first club Newells Old Boys.
Aguero speaking on UOL, said, “He is seriously considering the possibility of playing for Newell’s.”
Earlier this week, Messi’s former teammate Sergi Roberto has stirred the hornet’s nest again by saying that Barcelona will take Messi with open arms.
