In order to assist Tom Brady in winning another Super Bowl, Rob Gronkowski once came out of retirement
The storied tight end was not, he admitted, seriously considering a second spectacular return to the NFL in 2022
While speaking to Rob Maaddi on the AP Pro Football Podcast, Gronkowski stated that the thought of another reunion with Brady would be pretty cool
But the 33-year-old was never inclined towards getting back on the field
When asked if he thought about potentially rejoining Bradys Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the 2022 season,
The four-time Super Bowl winner then added that the thought of another spectacular return did excite him
However, Gronkowski was still happy to be working as an analyst instead
There were a couple of thoughts and I was like, Oh, how cool would that be Making plays and helping the team out by winning some games
Though it crossed my mind, I never felt compelled to act upon it At Fox, I enjoyed playing the analyst, so I never actually did anything
