Rob Gronkowski praises Josh Allen after hinting at a U-turn on his NFL career
NFL legend Rob Gronkowski claimed he would love to join the Buffalo Bills and play with superstar quarterback Josh Allen if he were to return to the league
The former tight end is currently enjoying his second stint of retirement after he walked away in 2018 before Tom Brady left the New England Patriots for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
When Brady joined the Bucs in 2020, Gronkowski came out of retirement and signed with the Florida franchise where he spent two seasons before calling it quits
After hauling in 55 passes for 802 yards and six touchdowns during the 2021 season with the Bucs, Gronkowski retired following the playoff defeat to the Los Angeles Rams, who went on to win the Super Bowl
He recently suggested ‘retirement is retirement’ and claimed he was enjoying being off the pitch - but speculation persists following Gronkowski’s habit of coming back
The 33-year-old is considered one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history and he will surely be consistently linked with a return to the league for the foreseeable future
When host Kay Adams asked which team he would join if he could ahead of these NFL Playoffs, Gronkowski made no secret of his desire to play with Allen
“In a dream world, I’ll go with my home town team the Buffalo Bills once again,” Gronkowski said on FanDuel TV’s ‘Up Adams’ “If you just watch Josh Allen go out there and play, he just plays the game freely
“It also looks like he’s having the most fun out there out of any quarterback in the whole NFL - and on top of it, he knows how to extend a play
I love watching a quarterback who looks like he’s going to get sacked by three defensive linemen and then somehow he escapes the pocket, runs around, jukes a linebacker and then just whips the ball 50 yards down the field for a touchdown
