Shocking NBA List Is Ruled by Ja Morant and Dillon Brooks
It was no surprise when the Memphis Grizzlies were at the center of a lot of negative attention following their first-round loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Having talked a lot of trash throughout the course of the year, Memphis put a target on their back that grew even larger once Dillon Brooks made his infamous comments about LeBron James following Game 2.
While the negativity Memphis received after their first-round exit was not surprising, a recent data breakdown showed that negativity reached levels beyond what many may have believed.
According to BetOnline.ag, Ja Morant and Dillon Brooks have dominated the NBA in receiving negative Tweets over the last 60 days.
The two players ranked first and second in this data breakdown that analyzed which NBA players were the recipients of the most negative Tweets over the last two months
While it is again not surprising that these two players have been at the center of a lot of negativity, it is somewhat shocking to see them ranked first and second in the entire NBA.
With LeBron James and Draymond Green ranking as a distant third and fourth place behind Brooks and Morant, it is clear that the NBA world was ready to pile on the Grizzlies once they were eliminated.
As Ja Morant and other Grizzlies players mentioned in their exit interviews, this was a learning lesson for Memphis, and the team as a whole will look to be smarter and more focused next season.
