Steve Kerr applauds Poole despite delinquent turnover in loss to Detroit Pistons
Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr praised Jordan Poole despite his late turnover in the loss to the Detroit Pistons.
Klay Thompson almost forced overtime, but Saddiq Bey hit a game-winning 3-point shot at the buzzer to give the Pistons a 122-119 win.
In his postgame interview, Kerr had nothing but praise for Poole when asked about his vital turnover late in the fourth quarter.
He told reporters that Poole made two big shots before his turnover.
Jordan Poole lost the ball with six seconds left in the game and the Golden State Warriors were down by one point.
Kerr said "He had two big jumpers down the stretch. Jordan's made so many big plays for us and helped us win so many games.''
The coach further said, "But what's great is everything is a learning experience for him at this stage of his career. He made one mistake, but he made two big shots right before that."
