When Howard Stern questioned Johnny Depp about cheating on his partners, he responded coolly and collectedly

Johnny Depp has faced a lot of scandals in the last few years. There was his bankruptcy in 2016, his infamous defamation trial with ex-wife Amber Heard, and his recent 10 million loan for the renovation of his castle.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star is also known for his high-profile relationships like his previous engagement to Winona Ryder, his torrid romance with Kate Moss, and his 14-year commitment to Vanessa Paradis — mother of Jack and Lily-Rose Depp.

In 2001, Howard Stern asked Depp if he had ever cheated on his partners. The latter took a long pause before answering the big question.

The host also brought up the actor-turned-painters famous quote If you love two people at the same time, choose the second. Because if you really loved the first one, you wouldnt have fallen for the second.

Over a decade later, Stern called Depp a narcissist amid his legal dispute with Heard. The radio host alleged the Willy Wonka star of overacting on the stand and wanting the trial to be televised because narcissists think they can talk their way out of everything.

On the narcissism scale, I think Johnny Depp is a huge narcissist, said Stern, and what I mean by that is, he figured Ill put this on TV. And because Im so persuasive and Im so smart, and Im such a wonderful guy. He added that having cameras in the courtroom didnt work in Depps favor.

But thats what narcissists do I will charm the pants off of America at the trial, he continued. No you wont. This will not go well. Its not going well for you, its not going well for her. Its not going well for anybody. You sound like two battling children. Its just coming off really badly.

Speaking about Depps behavior throughout the trial, Stern said Ill play you some clips from the Johnny Depp trial. If he isnt acting — I mean, hes so overacting because hes writing his own material as he goes along. You know, I gotta tell you, hes wrong. He shouldnt be putting this on TV in any shape.

During the phone interview with Stern, Depp was residing in France with Paradis and then-two-year-old, Lily-Rose. He told the host that he was not officially married but pretty much settled down with the French actress. As usual, the broadcaster went on to interrogate the 21Jump Street alum about his faithfulness in relationships.
