December is the month of Celebration and say good bye to the year for ever. On the Box office Bollywood comedy movie ‘Fukrey Returns’ has opened to a thunderous opening response from the audience. Box-office having collected Rs 8.10 crores on Day 1. The film, starring Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Richa Chadha, Manjot Singh, Ali Fazal and Pankaj Tripathi in the lead roles, has proved to be a knight in shining armor for Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment, which has been going through difficult times for the last few years.

If the opening day collection is anything to go by, brand Fukrey has now joined the league of successful film brands of Bollywood such as Golmaal, Dhamaal, Hera Pheri, Welcome and Pyaar Ka Punchnama. What's more surprising is that Fukrey Returns has registered such an impressive collection despite getting mixed reviews from film critics across the country.

The film's first part was release in the year 2013 coming-of-age film ‘Fukrey’, had a lifetime collection of Rs 36.5 crore. The way Fukrey Returns has performed on its opening day, it could well go past this milestone within 4-5 days. Fukrey Returns is directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, who had also helmed the prequel. The film hit the screens on December 8.
