Mumbai: After allegations of Tanushri Duttaa on Nana Patekar, joining the MeToo movement Vinta Nanda, who rose the fame from well known 1990s' show "Tara" being a writer-producer has accused the veteran actor Alok Nath – a man who is well known for his "sanskaari" on-screen image and has played the role of Babaoji(father) in several films and TV shows, of sexually molesting her almost two decades ago.
Vinta Nanda has spoken out today against the sexual molestation of the lead actor of the show Alok Nath. She uttered about the horror incident in a Facebook post. She with her gloominess shared that the lead actor was drunken and messed around with the female lead of the show. Vinta Nanda in her allegations said that Alok Nath would touch the lead actress wrongly. She further alleged that she was horribly raped while returning home from his party.
Worth mention here when show Tara shut down, she directed one more show in which the sanskaari actor being a lead actor threatened her harassed her on the show and warned her so many times that she give up directing it. But she continued her association with the serial as a writer. After this the actor called her to his residence and sexually violated her.
Vinta did not mention the name in her post but gave hint that ‘irony is that the man, the predator in question here is the actor par excellence who is known as the most Sanskaari person in the film and television industry’. On a related note the lead actors of the show Tara were Alok Nath and Navneet Nishan. Vinta has garnered huge support from not just celebrities, but even from common social media users. On the other hand Navneet Nishan had given an interview in which she had called Alok Nath an ‘alcoholic’.
