Recently the team of Gully Boy completed 50 days and for that, the team celebrated and cut the cake. Gully boy is directed by Zoya Akhtar, the movie also has Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. 

The team took social media app Instagram and shared photos from the party. In the photos, Ranveer is seen feeding the cake to Zoya and posing for the camera.

 When Ranveer Singh asked about his transformation in the movie he said "I like to switch things up, I like to do different things. Coming off from Mr Bhansali film to Zoya film then I have Rohit Shetty film is interesting. For me, it's very important that I keep doing different things and the audience shouldn't know what to expect. It should come with double excitement attached to what will come next.

I am very keen on not doing the same thing, to not repeat the trick. I am very happy that wonderful opportunities come my way. I think it's very rich phase for me creatively. Coming off from the character like Alauddin Khilji to Gully Boy and from there to Simmba is like venturing into two opposite spectrums. To cover that, it makes me fulfilled as an artist. I am very excited about my upcoming slate."

Gully Boy is an upcoming 2019 Indian Bollywood musical drama film directed by Zoya Akhtar. It stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in lead roles. It is being co-produced by Akhtar's Tiger Baby and Excel Entertainment productions. 

The film is based on the lives of Shankar Nag GM and Naezy known for their song "Mere Gully Mein" in Mumbai. Principal photography on the film began in January 2018. It is confirmed for release on 14 February 2019.
