New York [USA], Dec 28 (NT): The World Baloch Organization (WBO) has initiated billboards lauding the slogan "#FreeBalochistan from human rights ill-treatment by Pakistan across the historic Times Square in the New York City.

The billboards up in the heart of New York will hang there as the city is all set to celebrate New Year’s Eve.

The billboards draw attention to Pakistan's abusive actions like kidnappings, torture, and massacres in occupied Balochistan and the Baloch people's right to free will.

Pakistan has not permitted the international press, human rights monitors and aid agencies to cross the doorstep of Balochistan. The adverts try to find to raise awareness about the troubles of the secular Baloch people who have undergone nasty human rights abuses by the Pakistani authorities for a number of decades.

The billboard adverts are part of the continuing human rights campaign in the city, which commenced with more than 100 taxis lauding similar slogans.

The awareness campaign in New York City kicks-off following a successful month of realization of the campaign in London, UK. (NT)
