After a marking a rocking appearance in box-office with Judwaa 2, Varun Dhawan is back on the Silver screen with 'October'. This film witnessed his first collaboration with filmmaker Shoojit Sircar and also Banita Sandhu's maiden film in Bollywood. While the trailer and songs uncovered before the release of the film managed to make the right buzzing, October kicked off with a slow but decent collection on the first day and settled a total of Rs 5.04 crore on day one. Now, the third-day collection of October is out and, the film has earned ample growth on weekend.
“#October witnessed ample growth on Sat and Sun, after a slow start on Fri morning/noon... While the trending is healthy, it’s all about maintaining the pace on weekdays now... Fri 5.04 cr, Sat 7.47 cr, Sun 7.74 cr. Total: ₹ 20.25 cr. India biz”, film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on Instagram.
October has been well acclaimed primarily for the direction and Varun’s performance in the film. October’s first-day collection is better than films like Hichki and Blackmail which ticketed on a similar note.
Directed by Shoojit Sircar, October also features Banita Sandhu in her debut film and was released worldwide on April 13.
