Micro-blogging site Twitter has removed more than 1.43 lakh apps during April to June while preventing the misuse of its platform and accelerating the rift against fake app (spam). The company has taken this action on an app that violates their policies. 

Twitter said that he is taking additional steps to deal with the challenges of "spam and malicious automation posing a major threat to surveillance and privacy." 

Twitter said in a statement, "April to June on violation of policies Between 2018 we have removed more than 1,43,000 apps. We will continue to invest in making better tools and procedures to prevent such malicious app more quickly and effectively. " The company emphasized that it would not tolerate the use of its platform in launching spam, by tampering or presenting the conversation or using Twitter to attack people's privacy.

Twitter has also introduced a new option 'Report a bad app' for the people. Twitter users can report this API (application programming interface), which generates spam or violates the Twitter rules, using this option available in its Help Center. 

Twitter has also introduced a new way of a request for all developers to access its API. In addition to this, the process of enhancing accountability for app creation and the process of connecting Twitter with the content and the account has also been changed.
