On Tuesday, Hero Electric launched a partnership with Charzer, a Bengaluru-based electric vehicle charging start-up, with the goal of establishing one lakh charging stations across India. The entire procedure will take three years and will aid in the increasing standardization of electric car infrastructure across manufacturers.

At the moment, Hero Electric is the country's leading electric scooter manufacturer. It has a number of items to offer, but it also realizes the need of having a solid supporting infrastructure in place. As a result of its partnership with Charzer, 10,000 charging stations will be installed in 30 cities in the first year alone. Chargers will be available at all Hero Electric dealerships.

Owners may also use the Charzer smartphone app and website to find the nearest charging station. The success of electric cars is determined by a variety of factors, including the product's range, performance, and charging station availability. And all of these things play a part in bringing electric automobiles to more Indian homes. "With our vision and dedication to accelerate the growth of electric vehicles, we are working diligently to expand the charging infrastructure," stated Sohinder Gill, CEO of Hero Electric. "We hope to enhance the push toward electric vehicles and offer a cleaner, greener transportation option through this collaboration (with Charzer)."

While infrastructure may be a concern, Hero Electric has already announced plans to increase production at its Ludhiana site. It has verified that by March 2022, production capacity would have increased to over five lakh units per year. The firm plans to increase its production capacity to exceed one million automobiles per year, increasing capacity year after year to satisfy rising demand. While demand is expected to rise, Hero Electric will be aiming to keep younger competitors like Ola Electric, Ather, Okinawa, and others at bay in order to maintain its EV supremacy.
