Jammu & Kashmir: One Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist was killed last night when terrorists attacked a police picket at Anantnag's Achabal. In the Search operation launched by police personnel to nab terrorists 1 security personnel was injured in the incident, but according to the reports his condition is stable.

A terrorist was killed and a policeman injured when a police party was ambushed in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district, police said.

According to police reports, terrorists attacked policemen in Anantag's Achabal town late on Friday night but the attack was effectively revolted.

LeT militant was gunned down in retaliation and a weapon was found from him, a police official said.

The Terrorist who was killed is yet to be identified. Even though he was involved in carrying out civilian atrocities and terror attacks on security forces in the area, police further said.

The official added that a policeman sustained injuries in the shootout. He was shifted to a hospital where his condition is said to be stable now.
