Ambikapur: Corona Protocol remained violated by collecting a crowd of more than 1,000 at a wedding ceremony in the Ambikapur district of Chhattisgarh state. In view of this, the biggest ever action has been taken by the district administration as directed by District Collector Sanjeev Kumar Jha.

The administration team sealed the marriage hall and imposed a total fine of 9 lakh 50 thousand rupees on the bride and groom side including the operator. Sub Divisional Magistrate and Incident Commander Pradeep Sahu said district collector Sanjeev Kumar has ordered an inquiry into the case. He further said that as per the directions of District Collector Sanjeev Kumar, the matrimonial ceremony which was completed on Friday, 2nd July was examined at Chaurasia Marriage Garden, Transport Nagar Ambikapur on Ring Road on 4th July.

Investigation revealed that about 1,000 persons were gathered and a matrimonial ceremony was organized in violation of corona guidelines. He said that most of the number of people attending matrimonial ceremonies in the city has been fixed at 50. However, in violation of corona guidelines rules, chaurasia marriage garden operator Virendra Chaurasia has been fined 4 lakh 75 thousand rupees for violating the corona guidelines rule at the matrimonial ceremony. At the same time, the groom's father Saroj Sahu has been fined Rs 2.37 lakh and the bride's father Prakash Sahu has been fined 2.37 lakh rupees. At the same time, orders have been issued to pay the fine at the municipal office.
