83% students pass in J&K board in class 10, result declared

A good day for students of class 10 after recieving the result. Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education on thursday declares the result of class 10 examinations,which were delayed last year due to some distruption. 83 per cent of the 58293 students qualifying for the next class.

This time J&K Board of School Education introduced the system of grades instead of marks system in the papers.

J&K Board of School Education chairman Zahoor Ahmad Chatt said this year 30,070 boys and 28,223 girls apperaed in the examinations of which 84.61 per cent boys and 81.45 per cent girls passed.

The annual examination to class 10 and 12 were held in november last year and after pstponding due to distruption.

The distruption is followed the killing of top comander of Hizbul Mujahideen Burhan Wahi encounter along with two of his associates on july 7.Due to this many people injured ,forced closure to all educational institutions for months.

Some reliefs are given to the student who appear in november examination, 50 per cent relaxation in the question paper. But such relaxation would not be available for those students who get the exams in the month of March
