But do not worry, carbohydrate-rich foods are not necessarily gaining weight - on the contrary, the right carbohydrates can even accelerate the loss of extra pounds. You can even choose wholegrain products and fruits instead of white flour and sweets.
The fact is that the whole grain product contains a lot of fiber, which accelerates metabolic processes and creates a feeling of satiety for a long time. And in fruits there are a lot of vitamins and minerals - therefore, it is not only possible to consume them (in moderation), but also vitally.
To lose weight without breaking your health, Leslie Langevin recommends the following sources of beneficial carbohydrates for consumption:
Quinoa is a great alternative to white rice. Pseudo-cereals provide the body with sufficient protein and complex carbohydrates. And the absence of gluten in the composition makes quinoa an indispensable product for those who suffer from gluten intolerance. The seeds of this plant are best suited for making cold salads, curries and cereals.
Traditional potatoes are useful, but if you compare them with sweet potatoes, the latter is much more useful. Bright orange sweet potato tubers have a lower glycemic index and, as a result, increase blood sugar levels much more slowly. In addition, sweet potatoes prevent hunger attacks.
Oatmeal is a valuable source of protein. Protein, as you know, helps build muscle (at least does not allow them to "deflate") and, thus, helps to lose weight. Large muscle mass causes the body to burn more calories - even while at rest.
Leslie Langevin recommends eating porridge as often as possible, because oatmeal rich in complex carbohydrates satisfies hunger and quickly saturates.
